With consistent measurement of patient progress and combining traditional and innovative care pathways, Octave sets a new standard for mental health care. Urban Chalet helped Octave develop a design playbook that amplified and differentiated their brand, with an eye toward national expansion. We worked closely with Octave’s leaders and created design standards for serene offices that are welcoming sanctuaries – refuges from the busy city. When patients enter the Flatiron location in Manhattan, they immediately feel at ease. Hospitable and unique features like the custom, built-in bench and amenity bar in the waiting room are thoughtful comforts. Our holistic design and creative configuration of the space allows for an intuitive flow and calm function. Through careful and understated design choices, the private therapy rooms – rather than being generic and clinical – feel like clean, modern living spaces or cozy, light-filled studies.
