A Small Dental Practice Packs a Design Punch

With the perfect street level retail space in Greenwich Village and a solid business plan, Dr. Isabel Del Carpio thought she was well on her way to opening her new dental practice. But after hitting a roadblock in her search for the right interior designer, she was introduced to Urban Chalet. Dr. Del Carpio says she knew right away that our team could bring her vision – for excellent dentistry in a comfortable environment – to life. Drawing inspiration from the doctor’s warm and gregarious personality, we aimed to make a strong impact in the fairly small (1,000 square foot) space. We created a light, fresh aesthetic with an open, airy feel and intentionally curated design details. Upon entering Mint + Bella, you are greeted and enthralled by a soothing wood sculpture by innovative artist Katie Gong, framed by verdant potted plants and placed above a softly curving wooden reception desk – setting the stage for a memorable experience. The welcoming theme flows with the space; our designers selected compelling design elements and thoughtfully placed them throughout the neutral and calming backdrop. Dr. Carpio credits the interior design, along with her stellar patient-centered care, for the thriving practice.
